Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SupperBoard mobile application and related services (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Who can use the App
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority, you must have a parent or guardian's permission.
2. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the End User License Agreement and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
3. What SupperBoard does
SupperBoard helps you save, organize, and cook recipes: importing recipes from links, social posts, photos, and manual entry; a step-by-step cook mode; a grocery list that can send items to Apple Reminders; nutrition estimates; an Apple Health export; a taste and allergy profile; iCloud sync; an Apple Watch companion; and Le Sous Chef, an AI cooking assistant. Features may change over time.
4. Your content
Recipes, lists, notes, and other content you create or import ("Your Content") belong to you. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to use any recipe or material you import. We do not claim ownership of Your Content. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the features you use (for example, sending recipe text to our processing service to import or analyze it, as described in our Privacy Policy).
5. SupperBoard+ (subscriptions and purchases)
Some features are part of SupperBoard+, available as:
- a monthly auto-renewing subscription,
- an annual auto-renewing subscription, and
- a one-time "lifetime" purchase.
Current pricing is shown in the App and on the App Store and may change. Prices are set per region and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required.
Billing and auto-renewal. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Any free trial or introductory offer, if provided, is described at the point of purchase; unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Managing and canceling. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions), not in the App. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Lifetime purchase. The one-time lifetime purchase unlocks the then-current SupperBoard+ features for as long as the App is offered and reasonably supported. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and does not guarantee any specific future feature.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly; please request them through Apple.
Restore. You can restore previous purchases from within the App using the same Apple ID.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App except as permitted by law; disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our services; or use the App to infringe anyone's rights.
7. AI features
Le Sous Chef and other AI-assisted features generate suggestions automatically. They can be wrong, incomplete, or not to your taste. Treat them as ideas, not instructions. They are not professional culinary, medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Always use your own judgment, especially around food safety and cooking temperatures.
8. Nutrition and allergen information
Nutrition figures in the App are estimates generated from ingredient lists, not laboratory measurements, and may be inaccurate. Allergy and dietary flags are a convenience based on the text of a recipe and are not a guarantee that a dish is safe for you. Always read product labels and consult a qualified professional for medical or dietary needs. We are not responsible for reliance on these estimates.
9. Third-party services
The App works with services provided by Apple (iCloud, HealthKit, Reminders, the App Store), and uses Cloudflare and Anthropic to process certain text. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY RESULT (INCLUDING NUTRITION ESTIMATES OR AI OUTPUT) WILL BE ACCURATE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GASTRONAUT LABS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gastronaut Labs from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or end the App or your access to it if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where prohibited. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Jersey, except where prohibited by law. If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights under the mandatory laws of your place of residence.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the App evolves. We will post the revised Terms here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept them.
