Privacy at Gastronaut Labs

Effective August 26, 2026 · Covers gastronautlabs.com and our studio services.

The short version: we collect what you choose to tell us, we use it to work with you, and we never sell it.

Looking for an app's policy? The apps handle your data differently from the studio site. Read SPOT's privacy policy or SupperBoard's privacy policy.

What we collect, and why

  • Project briefs. When you use the start-a-project page (the form or the Plateo chat), we receive what you share: your name, email, company if you give one, and what you tell us about your project, including the chat conversation. We use it for exactly one thing: understanding your project and sending you a proposal.
  • Waitlist emails. Both our apps are on the App Store now, so the waitlists are closed and the forms are gone. Addresses collected before launch were used for one thing, telling those people the app was out, and we delete them once that is done.
  • Invoice payments. Payments run through Stripe. Card and bank details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we keep only the invoice reference, amount, and whether it was paid.
  • Basic site logs. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard, aggregate traffic logs and analytics. We do not run advertising trackers.

The Plateo chat, honestly

Plateo's replies are generated by Claude, a model from Anthropic. The messages you type in the chat are sent to Anthropic to produce each reply. Anthropic processes them as our service provider and does not use them to train its models. If you would rather not chat, the plain form does everything the chat does.

Who touches your information

  • Anthropic generates the chat replies.
  • Web3Forms relays your brief to our inbox as email.
  • Stripe handles payments end to end.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site and stores briefs and invoice records.

That is the whole list. No data brokers, no ad networks, no selling, no sharing beyond what running the studio requires.

How long we keep things

Briefs stay while they are useful to working together. The closed waitlists are being deleted now that both apps have launched. Invoice records are kept as long as bookkeeping requires. Want something deleted? Ask, and it is gone.

Where your information lives

We are based in the United States, and the services above process data in the United States and elsewhere. If you write to us from outside the US, your information travels here to reach us.

Your choices and your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, take a copy of it, or have it deleted. We do not make you fill in a form for any of that. Email admin@gastronautlabs.com and tell us what you want. That address goes to a person, and the person replies.

We do not sell personal information, and we never have, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Who this site is for

Our site and our studio work are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so plainly rather than quietly editing a line.
